This power plant was built in the Hida-Kisogawa Quasi-National Park in Inuyama City, Aichi Prefecture, utilizing land that had been largely abandoned farmland. The construction plan was formulated in close consultation with the local government, in accordance with the Ministry of the Environment’s Technical Guidelines for the Evaluation of Photovoltaic Power Generation Facilities in National Parks and Quasi-National Parks.

As part of our environmental measures, there are retention ponds with sedimentation areas on the site. In addition, for landscape considerations, we have created a buffer green belt around the module installation area and have made the perimeter fencing green.

Shizen Energy Group has been involved in this power plant from start to finish, including overall coordination, financing, development and EPC, O&M, and asset management.

  • Pacifico Energy Sanda Mega Solar Power Plant
  • Generation capacity
    121 MW
    Location
    Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture
    Start of operation
    2023

This is one of the largest solar power plants in the Kansai region, providing approximately 85 MW (AC) of renewable energy to a major utility, and is the largest project we have completed to date.

This power plant was built on the site of a former golf course covering an area of approximately 224 hectares. We designed the construction to be both environmentally friendly and cost effective by reducing the amount of tree clearing and land development required for the site, designing the pile foundations based on 3D topographic data, and maximizing the area for panel installation.

Not only did we achieve zero lost-time accidents during construction, but the efficiency of our work allowed us to begin delivering power four months ahead of schedule.

  • Azuma Kofuji 1 Solar Power Plant
  • Generation capacity
    100 MW
    Location
    Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture
    Start of operation
    2022

This power plant was built on approximately 186 hectares of land in Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture, most of which had been abandoned farmland. This development project was carried out with the approval of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries under the Act on Promoting Generation of Electricity from Renewable Energy Sources Harmonized with Sound Development of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

  • Sano Sonnedix Solar PV Park
  • Generation capacity
    41.6 MW
    Location
    Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture
    Start of operation
    2022

This power plant was built on a 121 hectare site in Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture, utilizing land that had remained unused as a golf course development site.

  • Osato Solar Park
  • Generation capacity
    28.8 MWp
    Location
    Osato, Miyagi Prefecture
    Start of operation
    2019
    O&M
Shizen Operations Inc. (formerly JUWI Shizen Operation Inc.)

This plant was built on a 33.6 hectare site in Osato, Miyagi Prefecture. We worked with the developer to optimize the civil engineering design to reduce costs. In addition to forest development and large-scale land development work, we also installed four large regulation ponds as flood control measures.
